The present project was conceived to produce a series of designs that would bring together an overall visual identity for the client's brand Golden Hour Coffee. In particular, the project included producing an advertisement in print form, banner advertising on web pages, and a promotional booklet featuring three pages. Overall, the aim was to develop an identical visual appearance of all designs in accordance with print and digital specifications.
To achieve the desired visual effects for branding, the designers selected a warm and cozy color palette characteristic of coffee brands. Thus, shades of brown, cream, and gold were utilized in order to achieve a calm appearance evoking the associations of comfort and relaxation. For typography, a sophisticated serif font for the headings was picked alongside a clear and legible typeface for the body copy.
The print advertisement is a focus-driven advertisement that utilizes a headline and imagery to draw viewers' attention, while the promotional booklet is well-organized and contains a cover page, an informative page, and a page detailing the products. Visual elements such as spacing, alignment, and other visual cues are applied strategically to help viewers navigate through the pages and make reading easier.
To enhance the message being conveyed, high-quality images and graphics related to the coffee brand were added. The images and text frames were also properly formatted and arranged in a professional manner. Other design elements, such as icons and feature boxes, were also included to emphasize the brand's attributes, such as its ethical sourcing, fresh roasting, and premium quality.
I incorporated similar colors, fonts, and visual elements used in the print ad, banners, and booklet in all my designs to promote brand consistency. The banner advertisements were based on the print advertisement but optimized for use in smaller screens while still retaining the same visual elements used in the print ad.
Master pages, paragraph styles, character styles, and tables were among the advanced features and tools of Adobe InDesign I used in this project. In addition, the digital copy of the brochure incorporates features such as hyperlinks that make the document appropriate for use on the internet.
In summary, the campaign achieves its goal of creating a unified and contemporary brand identity for Golden Hour Coffee through the creation of a document that is functional yet aesthetically pleasing.
